AVON PARK — A dejected Red Devil head coach Luther Clemons showed his displeasure with his team after a 57-54 overtime loss to the Braden River Pirates in a Class 4A-District 10 showdown on Tuesday. In response to the letter in the Oct. 15 letters from Julia Holmes: Dear Julia, I can't begin to tell you the number of times that you brightened my day when I came to the VA clinic, and I know that you went above and beyond many times to help veterans with scheduling problems, or to help them understand the myriad of paperwork. More than once I watched you work your magic as you turned a grumpy old sourpuss back 30 years with a grin on his face, and you did it with patience, some small anecdote, and that engaging smile that none of us could resist.
