They can grind it out on the ground. This is another game in which the best defense is a good offense. The Bucs will want to limit the Falcons' possessions and scoring chances, and the best way to do that is to control the ball and the clock. Bucs RB Warrick Dunn vs. Falcons WLB Keith Brooking Dunn is out to prove to the Falcons that they made a mistake by letting him go. He very well may do it if he finds himself matched up against Brooking. Brooking is a savvy and instinctive player who tackles well, but he struggles in coverage. He might be able to limit Dunn's effectiveness as a runner, but if the Bucs target Dunn in the passing game he can burn Brooking and make the Falcons wish he never left. Brooking has a slight edge here when the ball is on the ground, but Dunn wins almost every time it's in the air. ...more

Not only did the Buccaneers fail to impress a rare national television audience, but they missed an opportunity to take sole possession of first place in the NFC South in Monday night's 38-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
