James Shields is now the official ace of the Rays' staff — for what that's worth. On this team, I suspect it's not worth much because the Rays' rotation is the deepest part of a really deep team. If there is any solace to be gained from the Meltdown at Fenway ... well, OK, there isn't much. You can say the Rays blew the game, or you can say the Red Sox took it from them.
