Several members from First Baptist Church have been volunteering their time the past week to make repairs on the home of fellow church member Joy Stubbs. The work will take about another week and includes re-roofing, painting, yard clean-up and repairing windows and doors. Local businesses donated supplies to help the church with their first extensive home project. Hundreds of people lined up at Five Star Dental Care July 11 to take dentist Jeff Bynum up on his offer to provide free services for anyone without insurance or enough money to pay for treatments. Many camped out overnight at the office. Bynum said the event was a great success. ...more
