LAKE PLACID — "This is the way you want to end your career," said Lake Placid girls soccer head coach Liz Sottile after hearing the news of her latest coaching milestone. After leading the Green Dragons to the Class 3A-District 8 runner-up trophy — the first trophy for LP girls soccer under her tutelage — Sottile was named District 8 Coach of the Year by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association. SEBRING — Sam Robinson and T.J. Williams put pen to paper and took the next step in their athletic and academic lives on Wednesday, as both Sebring football standouts signed letters of intent to play football at separate community colleges in Mississippi. Robinson, a multi-talented, multi-position offensive weapon, will head to Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Miss., while Williams, a bruising running back, will take his talents to Holmes Community College in Goodman, Miss. "I want to continue to work on my game, be coachable and be the best I can be," said Williams, who has family in Mississippi and noted he'll likely line up as a running back for the Bulldogs.
