TEMPLE TERRACE - In the four years since retiring as a University of South Florida biology professor, Al Latina, 71, has not let the grass grow under his feet. Instead, the master gardener dug right in with both heels as a member of the Temple Terrace Garden Club. QUESTION: "I have spent waaaay too much money applying redwood bark and cocoa hulls to my front and backyard landscape and flower beds only to find that the cool fall weather has caused the bark to mold and mildew, plus the neighborhood cats are using my landscape as their litter box.
