He said the things in the trunk of his car were just fireworks. He said the police officer who stopped him in South Carolina was racial profiling. His lawyer adamantly insisted the same. Regarding "Details Emerge On Library Attack, Victim" (front page, June 7): I read with sadness the front-page article about the suspect in the Bloomingdale Library rape case. I also read the heartbreaking Steve Otto column about the innocent victim. She had the world by the tail until a monster came along and brutally snatched it all away in a few horrifying moments.
