Regarding "Dungy Son Transfer Produces Questions" (front page, Jan. 16): Congratulations on beginning an inquiry on the abuse of special school assignments by athletes in Hillsborough County. Please continue your investigation. It would be interesting to know how many special transfers are approved so kids can play sports at a "good" school. If the district doesn't want to give names (and I understand that in the case of minors) they should at least have to provide accurate data on how many transfers subsequently play a varsity sport at their new school. ...more

Regarding "MySpace's Changes To Shield Teen Users" (front page, Jan. 15): MySpace announced that all pages of people under 16 will be "private by default" to combat sexual predators. However, this setting can be easily changed by even a computer novice. What would be even easier would be to lie about one's age when prompted, a task anyone who can subtract 18 from 2008 can accomplish. ...more
