Millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett, the first person to circumnavigate the globe in a balloon, was missing Tuesday after he vanished while piloting a single-engine plane over rugged terrain in Nevada. Fossett, 63, took off Monday morning to scout locations where he might be able to break the land-speed record, his latest quest.
