FIRST TEAM Kim Carpenter, Berkeley Prep, Jr. Carpenter was one of the main reasons the Bucs advanced to the 1A state tournament for the first time since 2003, proving to be the team's most consistent player in the postseason. She claimed individual medalist honors at the District 14 tournament and finished seventh at the Region 5 tournament a week later. At state, Carpenter shot 82-83 in tough conditions to finish tied for 28th, a team best. ...more

Class 6A-District 7 Sickles has the best chance of any Hillsborough County team in this district. The Gryphons were runners-up last season, finishing behind Mitchell, but they return plenty of talent, including first-team All-County guard Shawnta Snakovsky.
