LAKE PLACID — A Lake Placid man remained in Highlands County Jail without bond Monday on a charge of attempted second-degree murder in the May 11 shooting of a Lake Placid man. Sheriff's investigators arrested Matwain Donyel Bryant, 24, of 149 Zion St., a suspect in the shooting of Sherman Murray Wyche, 26, who was shot six times in the leg and back outside of the Highway Park Liquors, located at 101 Vision St. near Crestmore Drive, in the Highway Park subdivision.
