St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue is asking drivers to avoid 28th Street between Eighth Avenue South and 16th Avenue South because of an overturned tanker. The wreck has also closed the 28th Street exit from Interstate 275 south since about 10 a.m. today. A federal office building in downtown Tampa was evacuated this afternoon when a suspicious package was found in the mailroom, authorities say.
