It is truly disgusting how the political campaigns for the one of the most prestigious offices on this planet have digressed into outrageous smear campaigns. Those of us who were formally trained in professional sales were always taught to sell the features and benefits of our own products without ever mentioning the competition. Do theses candidates have so little to propose that their best election pitch is make us believe they are the lesser of two evils, or do these people have so little faith in the intelligence of the average American that they feel this is the only way to communicate? ...more

It has been a rough 10 days for Michelle Obama. Internet rumors claimed there was a videotape of her criticizing "whitey" from a church pulpit. A Fox News analyst suggested her affectionate on-stage knuckle bump with her husband, on the night he locked up the Democratic presidential nomination, might have been a "terrorist's fist jab." Fox also labeled her a "baby mama," a term some use for unwed mothers. ...more

Imagine if a front-page article smearing your good name appeared in one of the biggest newspapers in the country. In place of proof, the newspaper substituted rumor and innuendo supplied by anonymous sources to support the outrageous allegation that you may have been unfaithful to your spouse and may have shamed the profession in which you have spent a lifetime building a reputation.
