Clearwater police have charged two 14-year-old boys with carjacking and are looking for a third teenager. Investigators say the teenagers approached a vehicle at Jacmar Street and Pinehurst Avenue in Dunedin about 4:30 p.m. Monday, dragged the driver out of the car and took the vehicle. Clearwater police spotted the car an hour later and arrested Jayontae Davis, of 1113 Tangerine St., and Cornell Cunningham, of 2070 San Marino Way. Both teenagers are from Clearwater. ...more

NEW PORT RICHEY - A 15-year-old student at Harry Schwettman Educational Center was arrested by city police Tuesday, accused of trying to use Visine to poison a teacher. Other students at the dropout prevention school saw Roberto Jesus Ortiz put something in the teacher's water Friday, according to a report. School staff interviewed the teen Monday, and Ortiz admitted to tainting the woman's water, the report states. ...more
