Lakeland police are seeking a man suspected of trying to kill a police officer. According to a police report, a warrant has been issued for Sergio Alberto Crandall, 36, accusing him of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon. Police say Crandall backed into Officer Aaron Peterman's vehicle Thursday as the officer was leaving the Lakeland High School parking lot.
