State transportation officials last night wanted to talk about their long-range vision for U.S. 19: constructing elevated interchanges at some of its most congested intersections in 10 to 20 years. TARPON SPRINGS -- Police and Cycadia Cemetery officials would like to know who stole a 75-pound marble sphere from atop a monument in the municipal graveyard. The 71-year old marker that was vandalized is a memorial to Viola Keeney Beekman. She donated property to start the cemetery in 1887. ...more
