A fire broke out this morning on the second floor of a building that houses residents 55 and older, prompting authorities to evacuate about 20 people, fire officials said. No residents in the building were injured, Capt. K. Larry Thompson of Lealman Fire District said. The 20 residents were congregating this morning at a clubhouse at Town Apartments, 5855 18th St., N., awaiting the American Red Cross to help them find shelter, Thompson said. ...more
