John McCain is not a normal conservative. He has instincts, but few abstract convictions about the proper size of government. He's a traditionalist, but is not energized by the social conservative agenda. As Rush Limbaugh understands, but the Democrats apparently do not, a McCain administration would not be like a Bush administration. ...more

Do you, my fellow human, have the same sexual attraction, love and the desire for a man as a woman? Maybe you have no sexual attraction for the same sex whatsoever, or maybe you have some attraction for the same sex? If you have no sexual attraction for the same sex, then what possesses you to spend so much time, energy on research to personally determine that your opinion is the correct one? Could your thoughts be because of religion, political, or both? ...more

Dean Johnson wrote a letter blaming liberal Democrats for the rising price of gasoline. This is an example of the blind partisanship that is partly responsible for the trouble we're in. At least since the '70s, we've known that foreign oil would be a problem for us. But as Fox News pointed out, the first offshore oil ban was passed during the Reagan Administration. Then the senior President Bush, followed by Clinton and the current President Bush, all issued executive orders banning offshore drilling. Jeb Bush, meanwhile, prevailed on his brother to re-purchase existing offshore oil leases in 2002, shutting down any chance that there would be offshore drilling in Florida. ...more
