Postal Service Two days before Valentine's Day, I sent my grandson a Valentine card. It should have gotten there Friday or Saturday, which was Valentine's Day. Instead, it got there on Tuesday, four days after it was mailed. I am aware that Monday was a holiday, but even so, four days to send a card less than 10 miles really is unacceptable service. ...more

Like A Good Neighbor? So State Farm wants to stop writing homeowner's insurance in Florida. I checked into their automobile insurance some time ago and was told that I could not just buy auto insurance. They wanted it all - homeowner's, auto, life, health. Well before sunrise Oct. 18, six sleepy Deltona teens piled into a van to make the two-and-a-half-hour drive for their church's Bible Quiz team. Some 88 youth from various Florida church teams came to participate in a denominational Florida Southeast District Bible Quiz, from distant locations including Hollywood, Westwood, Rainbow Springs, Lakeland, Piedmont Park, Tallahassee, Miami and Zephyrhills.
