THE DIFFERENCE: With four minutes left in the first half, Lake Placid junior Zack Campbell picked off a pass from quarterback Andrew Burdick and ran it 36 yards to the Lennard 40-yard line. Durant went into halftime ahead 13-6 against Class 6A-District 6 opponent Sarasota, with the running game led by junior running back Ryan Rice looking strong. However, before play could resume, the lights were literally turned out on the game. Lightning forced a suspension of the game at 10:05 Friday night after two attempts to get the players back on the field.
