Greater than the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the United States is suffering from external invasion and internal treason. Our very survival is at stake. I speak of our petroleum catastrophe. In essence, the Congress of the United States must pass the following laws: No petroleum pumped in the United States or its territories may be sold to any other countries. Owners of oil wells not pumping to capacity will be fined. All drilling restrictions will be abolished immediately. Incentive is offered for drilling new oil wells. With today's gas prices rising like they are, I would like to know why we are having ethanol shoved down our throats like the gas companies are doing. I for one have found that if I burn ethanol in my car, which is a Toyota Avalon 2008, my gas mileage will drop by four to five miles per gallon. In the end I will use more gas. I believe that there are more readers in the same boat as me. It takes so much ground water, that we do not have here in Florida to produce ethanol. ...more
