I recently put a letter in Highlands Today requesting some help for a project that would put people to work. Let me tell you the response I got. I sent a letter to Governor Crist asking for his support. To my surprise the phone rang at work. It was one of his aides that called me and said if I needed any help to call him. Pasco County commissioners' 2009-10 budget kicked in Thursday, and that means the clock is ticking for dozens of county employees who will get pink slips or buyouts in the next two weeks.
