NEW PORT RICHEY -- United Way of Pasco County, computer hardware maker Dell and nonprofit Gifts In Kind International have teamed up to give away refurbished Dell All-In-One printers to eligible community agencies. The donation will provide assistance to nonprofit groups. The help includes educational programs for children from kindergarten to the 12th grade, adult literacy efforts, job training, programs for the physically disabled and financially disadvantaged, as well as other vital community services, United Way officials explained in a press release. ...more

BALLAST POINT - The city's parks and recreation department and a business owner want to allow beer and wine sales at the Taste of Boston restaurant, located in Ballast Point Park in the 5200 block of Interbay Boulevard. The city council will consider the request at 6 p.m. Thursday at city hall, 315 E. Kennedy Blvd. It would be the first time permanent alcohol sales have been allowed at a city park and could pave the way for similar requests at other publicly owned locations. ...more
