CHARGERS ...30 BROWNS ...23 LaDainian Tomlinson scored his 150th career touchdown and passed Hall of Famer Jim Brown for eighth place on the career rushing list as San Diego won its seventh straight and 15th in a row in December. Antonio Gates set a career high with 167 yards receiving for the Chargers, who dragged their cleats early and only led 13-7 at halftime. But Philip Rivers led San Diego on TD drives of 85 and 83 yards in just over nine minutes in the third quarter to open a 27-7 lead. Tomlinson's 4-yard TD run with 5:58 left in the third put the Chargers up by 20, and placed the running back in elite company among NFL greats. Tomlinson reached 150 TDs in 137 games, fastest in league history. The Browns have lost seven straight games. ...more

CHARGERS ...21 GIANTS ...20 Philip Rivers capped an 80-yard drive with an 18-yard pass to Vincent Jackson with 21 seconds to play and San Diego handed New York its fourth straight loss. Rivers was 24 of 36 for 209 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Jackson, in helping the Chargers win their third straight. The Giants are 5-4 heading into a bye week and not looking very much like a playoff team. In the first meeting between Rivers and Giants quarterback Eli Manning since they were dealt for each other on draft day 2004, Terrell Thomas intercepted Rivers' pass late in the fourth quarter and returned it 33 yards to the San Diego 4. A holding penalty on first down pushed New York back 10 yards, and it had to settle for a short field goal and a six-point lead that Rivers and Jackson erased. Rivers hit Kris Wilson on a 2-yarder in the third to give San Diego a 14-7 lead in a game in which the Giants defense rebounded from miserable efforts the previous three weeks. ...more

CHARGERS ...24 RAIDERS ...16 Some things never change in San Diego, such as the great weather and LaDainian Tomlinson and the Chargers beating hapless Oakland. Tomlinson scored twice, the first in the wildcat, and the Chargers earned their 13th straight victory against the Raiders. It's the longest active NFL winning streak by one team over another. The Chargers swept the series for the sixth straight season. Many Chargers, including quarterback Philip Rivers, have never lost to the Raiders. It was San Diego's seventh straight home win against the Raiders. The Chargers sacked JaMarcus Russell five times. ...more

CHARGERS ...37 CHIEFS ...7 Philip Rivers threw three touchdowns passes and LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for 71 yards. Rivers was 18 of 30 for 268 yards and three TDs as the Chargers won their third in a row in Kansas City for the first time since 1981. The Chiefs were unable to build on last week's sloppy win against Washington. They fell behind 20-0 in the first half, Matt Cassel threw three interceptions and the Chargers scored their final touchdown when Jacob Hester blocked a punt at the 20, chased the ball into the end zone and fell on it. ...more

This is not an easy admission for Jason Taylor. He has spent more than half of his life making life miserable for the pretty boys who play sports' most glamorous position. He has chased, jarred and slammed them, all while striving to separate them from the football - and if they got separated from a limb in the bargain, so be it. If Wile E. Coyote had offered him some spare Acme products for an inflated price, the Dolphins' defensive end probably would have tried those, too. ...more
