On March 30, 2008 six teenage girls confronted 16-year old Victoria Lindsay about trash-talking about them online and in cell phone text messages. The six girls took turns punching and kicking Lindsay while they video tape the beating. Two teenaged boys stood watch outside the Lakeland home to warn the girls inside. University of Florida officials sent letters to 11,300 current and former students informing them that the university mistakenly posted their names, addresses and Social Security numbers online. The university used the student information between 2003 and 2005, but it remained posted unsecured online until a routine audit revealed the breach, UF officials announced Tuesday.
