This image of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. delivering his "I Have a Dream" speech on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., during the 1963 Freedom March is among many photos from Life photo archives now available on Google Image Search at http://images.google.com/hosted/life. The collection includes photos and etchings produced and owned by Life and date to the 1750s. A small percentage of the photos were published. Google noted that about 20 percent of the collection is now online, and that it is working to get the entire collection of nearly 10 million photos posted. ...more

Some made your standard scarecrow. And then there was Fred Astaire, the dashing dancer, a baby scarecrow and even teenage scarecrows. Folks stuffed and created all ilks at Saturday's Scarecrow Festival in Dade City. The event was sponsored by Dade City Main Street Inc. and folks could create a scarecrow for 50 cents. ...more
