SEBRING – A Sebring woman remained in Highlands County Jail in lieu of $111,000 bond and a 16-year-old Sebring boy was turned over to the care of the Department of Juvenile Justice in Bartow after they were arrested in connection with a robbery Monday evening on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Sharome Shurphybellamy Foster, 20, of 412 Vicki Terrace, was charged with robbery no firearm or weapon and resisting a law enforcement officer without violence. But, because of all the money they get in payola from these despicable corporations, it will never happen. It is a proven fact that tobacco use kills, and that these tobacco companies actually add nicotine to the cigarettes to ensure addiction. But Congress does nothing, and people keep dying. ...more

SEBRING — Blaine Albritton kept walking his steer around in circles near Firemen's Field's midway Thursday. Blaine's steer, Billy Bob, seemed a bit anxious that morning, mooing and occasionally bucking as Blaine held to his lead rope. But as Blaine got ready Thursday morning to show and auction Billy Bob at the Highlands County Fair, Blaine, 10, was also a bit uneasy parting with him. "It's going to be hard," he said of the coming auction. Blaine considered Billy Bob to be "like my best friend" during the 8 months he raised him. ...more
