The inaugural Growing Great Moms' Christmas home tour raised close to $2,000, brought strangers together and spread yuletide cheer. The open houses at 11 west Pasco County residences featured scenes of Victorian elegance, rustic charm, pop culture casual, shabby chic, plus childhood enchantments and reverent reproductions. The tour covered an 8-mile radius and neighborhoods in Gulf Harbors, River Crossing, the Gardens of Beacon Square, Oak Ridge and the downtown district of New Port Richey. The city kicked in some funding for the tour, which also brought in bucks for the Trinity Relay for Life. Growing Great Moms is a Christian-based support group for stay-at-home mothers. ...more
