Jassen Cullimore's goal 1:37 into overtime gave the Panthers a 4-3 victory over the Islanders, snapping a three-game losing streak. Cullimore ripped a slap shot from the left circle into the top right corner of the net for his first goal of the season. The win gave Florida coach Jacques Martin his 498th NHL coaching victory, putting him in sole possession of 10th place on the all-time win list for head coaches. He surpassed Glen Sather.
