They can avoid a slow start. This has been a problem for the Bucs all year, and though they have shown the ability to bounce back and often do, they don't want to give up an early lead to the Raiders. If Oakland jumps to a lead, it will keep the ball on the ground and attack the middle of the Bucs' defense. They can get their running game going. Let's face facts here, folks; the defense needs some help. The guys on that side of the ball are hurting a bit right now, and the best thing the offense can do for them is to keep the ball for a while and score regularly. The Bucs can do that if they can get their running game going. This was supposed to be the strength of the Bucs' attack but it has been only ordinary the last few weeks.
