A team of English teachers from Academy of the Holy Names recently attended SummerCORE (conference on reforming education), a five-day computer workshop designed to educate teachers on integrating technology into the classroom through the use of blogs, wikis, podcasts, bookmarks and digital storytelling. They learned to use VoiceThread in classroom projects, transforming media into collaborative spaces for video, voice, and text, and took journeys using Google Earth, a virtual globe of maps and satellite images. ...more
