NEW PORT RICHEY - A $49 million expansion project will nearly double the size of the Morton Plant North Bay Hospital campus, with construction starting in earnest by the end of June. The 122-bed hospital at 6600 Madison St. has gone through several transformations since it opened in 1965, as the county-owned West Pasco Hospital. Nothing as extensive as the latest metamorphosis, however, has ever taken place at the hospital, administrators indicate. ...more
