Palm Harbor University High School softball had made such a habit of qualifying for the postseason over the past decade that it seemed the Florida High School Athletic Association could probably just save time by slotting the Hurricanes in its 32-team bracket in February. Not only did the Buccaneers fail to impress a rare national television audience, but they missed an opportunity to take sole possession of first place in the NFC South in Monday night's 38-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
