I am tired of meaningless, bickering "debates" and being asked for contributions while no candidate seems to care about the convention delegate votes which represent one of the largest, most diverse group of voters. I am tired of a few people in Iowa and New Hampshire telling me I can have the leftovers on my ballot. Being involved in politics off and on since 1960 as a young voter in Texas, I am beginning to long for the smoke-filled rooms. At least back then we could pick delegates at our precinct level, then go to a county, state and national convention without waiting for Iowa and New Hampshire telling us who we could vote for. ...more
