Recently Tampa native Robert Marve chose to end his 1.5-year stay at the University of Miami. UM Coach Randy Shannon granted him a release, with stipulations that he could not attend ACC, SEC or in-state schools. Since that time, Plant Head Coach Robert Weiner has undertaken to assault the character of Shannon using any media outlet that will listen. His actions are immature, if not despicable. ...more

The man behind the mask was ... who? No one knew. They knew he threw beads - Lord knows, did he ever throw beads - hundreds during a game, thousands over a season. They also knew he ran up and down the sideline waving an 8-foot flag every time Plant City scored. ...more

QUESTION: "I've inherited some Christmas cacti from my mom and my wife's grandmothers. The ones from my wife's side were big beautiful plants. Recently they have started to turn yellow and are withering from the ends toward the plants. I'm not sure how much and how often to water them. Should I water them on a weekly basis or should it be more time in between watering? I also started giving them plant food in the water. I don't want to lose them. Plant runner Michaela Kennedy has found herself in a bit of a pinch. Thursday at the Class 3A-District 4 championships in Lake Park, Kennedy finished first in 20 minutes, 11 seconds (a personal best), helping the Panthers capture the title with 26 points. ...more
