Customers of Tampa Electric and Progress Energy Florida will pay less for electricity next year under plans approved Tuesday by Florida's Public Service Commission. Electric bills for Tampa Electric's residential customers will drop 16 cents to $114.38 for 1,000 kilowatt-hours a month, or 21 cents for 1,250 kilowatt-hours a month, the average consumption of a typical Tampa Electric customer. They are asking a federal judge to grant another extension to respond to a lawsuit filed by Donald Trump. Tampa-based SimDag LLC and Trump filed a joint motion Monday, seeking up to 65 more days for the developer to respond to the real estate mogul's lawsuit. TAMPA - Another lawsuit has been filed against the developers and others involved in the troubled Trump Tower Tampa project by buyers seeking their deposits back. Jugal Taneja and Manju Taneja of Largo claim in their suit that they were misled to believe that real estate mogul Donald Trump was a partner in the condo tower project. TAMPA - The stalled Trump Tower Tampa may be one step closer to becoming a reality. The developer, Tampa-based SimDag LLC, has received a "commitment agreement" from a New York hedge fund that may fund a loan for the tower, according to an e-mail sent to buyers.
