An Apollo Beach church's trailer filled with Thanksgiving food for the needy has been stolen. The trailer was taken sometime between Sunday afternoon and this morning from Calvary Lutheran Church's satellite property in the Ruskin area. A broken lock was found on the property. ...more

Highlands County third-graders are in for special treat this week and it has nothing to do with Halloween. It has everything to do with agriculture, as the young students will be able to participate in the 8th annual Ag-Venture on Tuesday at the Highlands County Fairgrounds in Sebring. The agricultural community comes together in an effort to educate children about the importance of agriculture not only in Highlands County but in the state as well as the country. ...more
