The new Memorial Drive school is nearing completion and will open in August. A traffic light will be installed at Memorial Drive and Valerie Boulevard, but I have not heard of any plans to install sidewalks in the vicinity of the new school. Sidewalks for the children who walk to the new school should be a top priority. The very minimum requirements should be sidewalks on Manatee Drive from Valerie Boulevard to Memorial, and on Memorial Drive from Valerie Boulevard to the new school. SEBRING — Investigators with the State Fire Marshal's Office arrested a Sebring man Thursday, charging him with lighting two fires in downtown Sebring in the early hours of Thursday morning. Since the cold front came through our area on Thursday night and the temperatures have slightly returned to normal for this time of year, the regular migration bite caused by the lunar cycle is triggering when it should –– starting at 3 a.m., peaking at 5 a.m., and ending at 7 a.m. Each day, this early morning migration starts a half hour later.
