THE DIFFERENCE: Land O' Lakes overcame an inspired Sunlake Seahawk team to pull out a 26-0 win at Sunlake Stadium. It was the big play receiving ability of Jerome Harrison that was the difference on two of the Gators' touchdowns. Harrison hauled in a fade pass from Ely Payne late in the first quarter and juked two Seahawk defenders en route to a 47-yard touchdown to give the Gators a 6-0 lead. Then late in the third quarter, Harrison's 64-yard reception set up Chris Singleton's 1-yard touchdown to make it 20-0. ...more

Edwards Heeds Bowden's Advice
At halftime of Saturday's 34-24 victory against UAB, Florida State redshirt junior Jamaal Edwards owned nine career carries - eight in his freshman season of 2004 and one in the first half. Absent Andrews Relies On Radio
For entertainment's sake, the best seat in the house Saturday was probably at Florida State defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews' home. Instead of standing on the sideline barking at players in his usual gruff tone, Andrews was at home recuperating from pneumonia, forced to listen to the game on the radio because he told fellow coaches he didn't have ESPNU. ...more
