Twin Lakes Elementary's fourth principal in five years hopes to stick around a while. Edith Lefler said she was excited about working with Twin Lakes' parents and students and getting involved in the school's innovative activities, such as its professional development for teachers. "They have such amazing things going on," Lefler said. "It's the type of school I'd love to lead." The Hillsborough County school board appointed her as principal Tuesday night, replacing Holly Saia, who was transferred to Shaw Elementary. Lefler, 36, comes from Town and Country Elementary, where she has served as assistant principal for elementary instruction. "I know the Town and Country family will sorely miss you, but you'll be a welcome addition to the Twin Lakes family," said school board member Susan Valdes. ...more
