Much needed rain is finally falling, but it's coming with hail that's over an inch in diameter in many spots in Pasco and Hernando counties.
There have been reports of hail covering the ground in northern Pasco county, just south of the Hernando border, this hail was dime sized and larger. There have also been reports north of Floral City and south of Inverness in Citrus county.
Hot, summerlike temperatures as well as a weak front to the north of us are combining to give us these almost-summer thunderstorms. Hail is possible in any storm that may form this afternoon. Strong wind gusts are also possible.
